Child Safety Standards
Last updated: July 2026
VENNU, operated by Gutenwords LLC, is an adults-only app for people 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This page sets out our standards, how anyone can report a concern, and exactly what we do when we become aware of it.
Zero tolerance for CSAE
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is absolutely prohibited on VENNU. This is non-negotiable and applies to every profile, photo, prompt, message, group, trip and event on the platform.
CSAE covers, among other things, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, and any attempt to sexualize, solicit, traffic or exploit a minor. There is no version of this we tolerate:
- Any image, video or text that sexualizes a minor (CSAM).
- Grooming — building trust with a minor in order to abuse or exploit them.
- Sextortion — threatening to share intimate content to coerce someone.
- Child trafficking or the solicitation of a minor for any purpose.
Violating these standards results in immediate, permanent removal from VENNU and — where the law requires or allows it — a report to the authorities.
Strictly 18+. No minors.
VENNU is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, and you confirm your date of birth when you sign up.
Minors are not permitted on the app under any circumstances. If we find or suspect that an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove it.
How to report
Every profile and every message on VENNU can be reported directly inside the app, in a few taps. You can also block or unmatch anyone at any time. Reports are confidential.
For child-safety concerns you can also reach us directly by email — no account or login required:
- In the app: tap the report option on any profile or message.
- By email: reports@vennuapp.com
- A child in immediate danger: contact local law enforcement first — 911 in the United States, 112 in the EU, or your local emergency number. You can also contact the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
How we act
We review reports as quickly as possible and prioritize any child-safety report above everything else. When we become aware of CSAE or CSAM, we act immediately and decisively:
- Remove the content from the platform right away.
- Permanently ban the account and any linked accounts.
- Preserve the evidence as required by law.
- Report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, as required by U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A).
- Cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations.
How we prevent it
Prevention starts at the door. VENNU is gated to adults 18 and over: every account requires a verified sign-in and a declared date of birth, and any signal that a user may be a minor is treated as a safety priority and investigated.
Fake profiles are banned, and our community guidelines make clear that any sexualization of minors — real or implied — ends an account permanently.
Compliance with child safety laws
VENNU complies with applicable child safety laws, including our reporting and preservation obligations under U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A, as amended by the REPORT Act). These standards apply everywhere VENNU operates.
Child safety point of contact
Our designated child safety point of contact is reachable at reports@vennuapp.com. This is the right channel for law enforcement, regulators, app stores and users to raise CSAE matters, and it is monitored so we can respond and take action.
For law enforcement: please include your agency, a case reference and a way to verify your request. Requests for user data beyond a CyberTipline report require valid legal process.
VENNU is operated by Gutenwords LLC, Sheridan, Wyoming, USA.
These child-safety standards are binding and form part of our Community Guidelines.
